Basics of Kabbalah

When you make the choice to study Kabbalah at the Kabbalah Centre, you will be faced with some pretty real and fascinating hard questions. Questions about your life and where you are going are often some of the first ones tackled.

You will also tackle some of the simplest aspects of life. You can find many of these at www.kabbalahonline.org. Today we will be discussing the idea of the basic necessities and just being thankful.

In Kabbalah you are taught to be in complete awe of our creator. Everything that comes to you is a gift, a gift in one way or another. A bad day can be blessing. A bad day can be a chance to take a look at what went wrong, and it gives us a chance to change this energy to make it more positive”.

This is not the only lesson we are taught here. We are also taught to show humility on a regular basis. Being humble is an important part of our growth and our evolution. It’s important to note that without the creator, we would not have anything. This all plays a role in how we go about or daily lives.

If we allow our ego to dictate the terms of our existence, than we are not living our lives the way we are meant to. Our ego is what blocks us from achieving the divine blessings the creator has in store for us.

Here’s an example for you:

Let’s say you make a really big screw up. Let’s say you go to the creator and reflect on this. In your reflection on the situation you become thankful.

The Evolution of Education Makes Way to Parent-Teacher Communication

ClassDojo is more than just a free app. It is a revolutionary new teaching tool that is sweeping the nation. ClassDojo is actively used by 85,000 schools in the United States to connect parents with teachers (Kolodny). The app allows for frequent check-ins that gauge student performance, classroom engagement, and other factors/benchmarks in their education (ClassDojo). The app was initially used to help improve behavioral problems(Schwartz), now it has become a sounding board for parents and teachers to communicate about the child’s education. The app helps identify where their strengths lie and communicate how they may need improvement. Approaching education positively, the teachers can even take a snap shot to share good work or a short video of the child’s strength (ClassDojo).
ClassDojo is working with Stanford’s Project for Education That Scales or PERTS; together they have been using feedback from the teachers and students to help the little learners accomplish higher goals (Schwartz) and create a dynamic classroom environment. They found that giving encouragement for achievements is more effective than giving titles such as “smart”(Toppo). Utilizing these methods students were less competitive and had higher comprehension rates. As teachers begin to reverse the ingrained belief that children have fixed intelligence, the children even began to point out others accomplishments and praise their fellow students(Schwartz). Through partnering with PERTS, the co-founders Sam Chaudhary and Liam Don, are hoping to foster a more effective learning environment for students. We have to teach in the class room that all students have the capacity to learn the information; it just needs to be taught differently to some students. When a positive learning environment is painted and children receive plenty of positive encouragement classrooms band together instead of becoming competitive (Schwartz).
This all begins with the connection of parents and teachers for a more involved for of education. ClassDojo has raised 21 million in this round of venture funding and the app hasn’t even monetized yet (Kolodny). The owners and investors primary concern is how they can use this new tool to better the education system, to date 31 million have gone into this project (U,L,M,M.). Eventually, Class Dojo will be looking for ways to monetize the app such as custom yearbooks, the ability to pay for field’s trips and school lunches, and much more (Kolodny). For now they are invested in showing children that their intelligence is not fixed. They have recently released a video series for students using cute little monsters to show children the growth mind state and help teachers show the students that they have the potential to achieve any goal (Schwartz).

Susan McGalla has become the Strategic Planning Director for the Pittsburgh Steelers, and she is getting the fans to take interest in this team again with the fashion campaign. Many people are impressed with what she has done because she is among the best when it comes to marketing clothing. Susan McGalla was once the CEO of 2 different clothing companies, and this experience gives her the ability to help with the building of a better fashion line for the Steelers.

McGalla has made some great fashion decisions over the years as the president of American Eagle. She has also made some good decisions during her time with Wet Seal. This has allowed her to build a career where is able to pass down advice and helpful knowledge on building an athletic fashion line for people that love the Pittsburgh Steelers.

What Susan McGalla represents is a woman that knows sports and fashion. This is a rare combination in the sports industry. There are lots of people that may know the clothing side of the industry, but they do not have what it takes to channel the vibe of fans of a team. Pittsburgh is home to Susan McGalla. Her father was a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. She learned about football from him, and that is now she is able to connect with the fans of her native hometown. The fact that she managed to build a career in the CEO position for American Eagle is a plus for the position that she currently holds.

The clothing campaign has become the thing that has allowed her to build a career in city that she calls home. The best thing about this is that she is doing this with an organization that is dedicated to a sport that she loves. It is a win-win for McGalla.
